The Utah Jazz are 6-0 at home this season

Los Angeles hits the road for a single-game trip, coming off a pair of home victories, including a 116-81 win over the Sacramento Kings as 12.5-point home favorites on Dec. 1.  The Clippers got a major boost with the return of guard Chauncey Billups, as he’s played less than 20 minutes in each of his two starts since recovering from a torn left Achilles tendon, but they outscored the Kings by a 41-22 margin when he was on the court.  Los Angeles is 3-3 ATS on the road this season, which offers little edge when looking at the pro basketball odds page.

The 35-point margin last time out was the largest in Clippers history, while they committed just five turnovers.  Los Angeles continues to get incredible production out of its bench, as it currently sits fourth in the league in averaging 40.1 points per game, including 58 of the team’s 116 points last time out.  The team has also earned a record of 8-0 this season when holding opponents to a 43 percent or worse shooting percentage from the field.

Utah returns home after losing two of three games on its road trip, including a 124-116 setback to the Houston Rockets as 6.5-point underdogs on Saturday.  “Usually, defense is something that all of us from top to bottom take pride in,” stated Jazz guard Randy Foye.  The Jazz have allowed five of their last six opponents to reach the century mark, with the OVER going 4-2 in that span.  Utah is 3-0 ATS after playing three consecutive road games, with the UNDER going 3-0 in that situation.

The Jazz are a little banged up with small forward Marvin Williams being listed as questionable with concussion symptoms, which will likely place Demarre Carroll in the starting lineup.  Utah has won all six of its home games this year, with each of those contests coming against Western Conference foes.  The franchise has won 10 of the last 14 overall meetings in this series.

Sports bettors will likely back the Jazz due to their 8-3 ATS mark on Mondays, while the Clippers are 2-5 ATS on the road versus a team with a winning home record.
