Los Angeles has won four games in a row, including a 96-93 victory over the New Orleans Hornets as nine-point road favorites Friday night, while going UNDER the total for the first time in five contests.  “We didn’t have much energy tonight,” commented Clippers point guard Chris Paul.  The Clippers have won two of three meetings against the Grizzlies during the 2012-13 NBA season, but suffered a 96-85 setback in the most recent contest between these two Western Conference rivals.  Los angeles is 7-3 SU and 8-2 ATS when revenging a home loss versus an opponent, which can’t be ignored when making your NBA picks against the spread Saturday night.

The Clippers are 22-17 overall when playing away from the Staples Center, including a 13-11 mark versus conference foes.  Los Angeles will need a huge performance out of point guard Chis Paul, who finished with 17 points and 14 assists last time out, while the team scored on its final 11 possessions to close out the three-point victory.

Memphis has won seven of its last eight games, including a 82-78 victory over the Houston Rockets as 2.5-point road underdogs Friday, while going UNDER the total for a seventh consecutive affair.  The Grizzlies lead the NBA in allowing just 89.4 points per game, which has been made possible by holding them to 43.8 percent shooting from the floor.  The team is 31-8 overall at FedExForum, including a 19-5 mark versus teams from out West.  Memphis is 6-2 ATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 6 points, with the OVER going 6-2 in that situation.

The Grizzlies are riding a 13-game home winning streak, which is the second longest of its kind in franchise history.  Memphis is also 21-7 since the All-Star break, which happens to be the second-best mark in the league over that span.  The goal is to reach the century mark offensively for this squad, considering it has won 22 of 23 games when accomplishing that task this season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Clippers due to their 3-1-1 ATS mark in their last five road games in this series.
