Minnesota

For a team with so much excitement surrounding them, losing Ricky Rubio for the year was a crushing blow to the Wolves. Still, fans are excited at the prospects that Kevin Love and Rubio bring for the future. Love has solidified himself as possibly the best power forward in the NBA, and he had no qualms about saying he feels he earned that spot.

Still, the Wolves need some pieces. Nikola Pekovic has erased the disappointment of Darko Milicic and Derrick Williams shows a lot of promise, but Wesley Johnson has been a disappointment and the Wolves still need another go to scorer, at least until Williams has finished developing (he is only 20).

So where can the Wolves go? The smartest thing may be drafting Austin Rivers, who should be available at their pick. Rivers will handle the ball better than most shooting guards and would pair brilliantly with Ricky Rubio. It might not be this year, Wolves fans, but it’s looking good in Minny.

Wolves Betting Trends:

Minnesota is 27-25 ATS this season and 16-11 ATS on the road. They are 14-17 ATS in the second half of the season and 21-14 ATS revenging a loss. They are 9-12 ATS vs teams with losing records and 6-6 ATS vs Pacific Division opponents. They are also 3-1 ATS when the total is greater or equal to 210.

Sacramento

It’s hard to fathom how the Kings can be so bad given the collection of talent they have. Disfunction would be the best word to sum it up.

For as good as Isaiah Thomas and DeMarcus Cousins have been, not to mention Marcus Thornton, there is the disappointment of Jimmer Fredette and the failed experiment of John Salmons, haunting Kings fans.

The only thing that can really save this team is landing a premier talent in June. The good news is that they should be able to do so. With Sacramento not being a threat any time soon, the most logical pick may be Andre Drummond, who offers more upside than others in the draft but will take a while to reach his full potential.

Kings Betting Trends:

The Kings are 25-27 ATS this season and 12-13 ATS in home games. They are 11-11 ATS after allowing more than 105 points and 4-3 ATS vs poor defensive teams. They are 17-14 ATS in the secod half of the season and 12-13 ATS at home.
