Chicago has dropped three of its last four games, including a 5-2 setback to Los Angeles as +182 road underdogs Monday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in seven affairs.  The White Sox did manage to welcome back Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu after returning from his first-ever stint on the disabled list, as he managed to hit his 15th home run of his rookie campaign.  Offensively, the team has scored just nine runs and hit just .164 over its last four contests.  Chicago is 3-1 on the road with a total of seven or lower this season.

White Sox starting pitcher Hector Noesi (0-4, 5.83 ERA) has led the club to back-to-back wins despite not factoring in the decision in each of those efforts, including a 3-2 home victory over the Cleveland Indians last time out.  The right-hander is 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA in four road games (two starts), with opposing hitters batting .286 against him.    Noesi went 0-1 with a 3.27 ERA in two interleague starts last month, as he prepares to face the Blue Crew for the first time in his career.

Los Angeles has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, while going OVER the betting total in the last three contests in that span.  The Dodgers pitching staff has posted a 2.59 ERA and limited American League hitters to a .223 average through six interleague games affairs in 2014.  Over the last two-plus seasons, the franchise is 20-14 as home favorites of -175 to -200, with the UNDER going 20-12-2 in those 34 opportunities.

Dodgers starting pitcher Dan Haren (5-3, 3.28 ERA) hasn’t earned a victory since May 12, but he didn’t factor into the decision of a 6-3 home defeat to the Pittsburgh Pirates in his last effort.  The right-hander is 2-0 with a 2.78 ERA in five home games—issuing three walks and striking out 20 batters in 32.1 innings of work.  Haren has produced a perfect 3-0 record and 3.09 ERA in four games versus the White Sox since 2011.

Sports bettors will likely back the Dodgers due to their 23-18 mark in their last 41 games versus AL opponents.
