Texas has dropped seven of its last 10 games, including an 11-8 setback to Cleveland as +115 road underdogs Friday, while going OVER the betting total for the first time in six contests.  The Rangers lost for the first time this season when scoring six or more runs, as they entered the series opener with a 29-0 record in that situation.  Since this ballpark opened in 1994, the club owns a .575 winning percentage is the second-best mark of any AL team over that span.  Texas is 7-5 on the road with a money line of -100 to -125 this season, with the OVER going 7-5 in that situation.

Rangers starting pitcher Yu Darvish (9-4, 2.86 ERA) has alternated wins and losses over his last three starts, which includes a 3-0 home victory over the New York Yankees last time out, as he allowed two hits over 6.1 shutout frames.  The right-hander is 3-1 with a 2.83 ERA in seven road games, with opposing hitters batting .173 against him.  Darvish was handed a 4-2 road loss in his only career start against the Indians on May 6 of last season.

Cleveland has won back-to-back games, with both games going OVER the betting total.    The Indians are 14-4 against AL West teams, with the .778 winning percentage against that devision being the best in the majors.  The starting rotation has compiled a 2.04 ERA since July 9, which happens to be the best mark in the Junior Circuit over that span.  Cleveland is 9-7 as home underdogs of +100 to +125 this season, with the UNDER going 9-7 in those 16 opportunities.

Indians starting pitcher Justin Masterson (11-7, 3.60 ERA) picked up a 7-1 road victory over the Minnesota Twins last time out, as he allowed one run and a single hit over seven strong frames.  The right-hander is 6-2 with a 2.91 ERA in 11 home games, surrendering just two home runs in 74.1 combined innings.  In eight career games (four starts) versus the Rangers, Masterson has tallied an 0-4 record and 6.49 ERA.

Sports bettors will likely back the Rangers due to their 7-3 record in Darvish’s last 10 starts as a favorite of -110 to -150.
