Denver

The Nuggets could be a very scary team in the Playoffs. They are 29-24, and playing without both Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler. Ty Lawson has picked up the slack, but they must get more from the newly acquired JaVale McGee. McGee was acquired for the price of Nene Hilario at the trade deadline, as the Nuggets try to get younger and plan ahead.

Kenneth Faried has been a solid rookie this year, and could be a consistent double double threat in the future. His high energy and shot blocking ability makes him a valuable chip, and the Nuggets may have got the long term steal of the draft in Faried. With a young frontline (Gallo/Faried/McGee) and a strong backcourt (Lawson/Andre Miller/Aaron Afflalo), the Nuggets could upset the Spurs in a series that would be a go if the Playoffs started today.

Nuggets Betting Trends:

The Nuggets are 28-25 ATS this season and 18-8 ATS in road games. They are 6-1 ATS in a game in with the total is between 195 and 199.5 They are 1-0 ATS after 2 days of rest (rare this year!) ad 9-7 ATS after a non-conference games.

New Orleans

It’s been one hell of a season for the Hornets without their best player Eric Gordon. Gordon may return tonight, which will give fans a preview of a possible Jarrett Jack/Gordon backcourt in the future.

The great thing for the Hornets is that they own a few draft picks this year, and the draft is stacked. Jarrett Jack has held his own as the starting point guard, and appears to be developing into the player many thought he would be coming out of Georgia Tech, as he battled Chris Paul tough in college in the Wake-Tech match ups.

Chris Kaman is all but gone, and an expiring contract, but that’s fine. Anthony Davis would more than make up for that, to say the least. Could the Hornets make the playoffs if they land Davis in the Draft? I would not count that out, at all.

Hornets Betting Trends:

The Hornets are 26-27 ATS this season and 26-19 ATS as an underdog, and 8-8 ATS after a10 point loss, they are 9-11 ATS after 3 consecutive losses and 7-7 ATS against Northwest Division opponents.
