South Carolina has won three consecutive games, but has failed to cover the number in each of those contests, including a 35-28 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats as 21.5-point home favorites in Week 6.  The Gamecocks have scored on their first possession in four of their first five games of the season, which is important to consider when making your college football betting picks.  Senior quarterback Connor Shaw completed 17 of 20 passes for 262 yards and a touchdown.  South Carolina is 6-0 SU and 3-3 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-2 in that situation.

The Gamecocks are 1-5 all-time against the Razorbacks in Fayetteville, which includes a current three-game losing streak.  South Carolina did manage to pick up a 38-20 victory over Arkansas as 13-point home favorites in last year’s meeting—winning the statistical battle by 23 yards.  Shaw finished with 272 passing yards and two touchdowns with a single interception.

Arkansas will celebrate Homecoming this weekend, as it looks to bounce back from a disappointing 30-10 setback to the Florida Gators as 12.5-point road underdogs last Saturday, while pushing up against the betting total of 40.  The Razorbacks are the only team in the country that plays preseason top 10 opponents in four consecutive weeks.  The team has allowed five rushing touchdowns in 2013—the fewest in the Southeastern Conference among squads that have played six games.  Arkansas is 2-10 SU and 4-8 ATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 9-3 in those 12 opportunities.

The Razorbacks have been getting after opposing quarterbacks, as their plus-12 sack differential leads the conference and is the fourth-highest in college football.  Arkansas has started fast this season, outscoring opponents 52-24 in the first quarter—scoring at least one first-quarter touchdown in five of six games.  True freshman running back Alex Collins is first in the SEC and ninth nationally with 651 yards on the ground.

Sports bettors will likely back the Razorbacks due to their 20-8 ATS mark in their last 28 home games.
