Cincinnati enters this game as heavy 23 point favorites according to college football oddsmakers at 5dimes, and given the team’s 66-9 trouncing of Northwestern State last week, there’s good reason to expect similar results against Miami of Ohio here in week four.

The Bearcats offense has been fluid all season, save a week 2 collapse against Illinois. Opening week, the Bearcats gave it to Purdue, winning 42-7. Cincy uses a combo of QBs in Brendon Kay and Muchie Legaux, and both have had great success. Legaux is a dual-threat QB who’s rushed for 107 yards, while Kay sports a 74.2 percent completion ratio.

The team is also solid in the backfield, where Hosey Williams and Ralph Abernathy have combined for over 500 yards through three games. The Bearcats’ chances of covering this spread relies heavily on the production of those backs, as well as the host of receivers that Kay and Legaux air it out to.

Max Morrison, Anthony McClung, Chris Moore and Shaq Washington all have 94 yards or more, and will have a good time against Miami of Ohio, as they’ve allowed 93 points in their two losses. Even lowly Kentucky cleaned up against Miami, so it doesn’t require an efficient offense to pick this team apart.

The Redhawks really haven’t had any positives to draw from their two outings. QB Austin Boucher is throwing just 38.9 percent for completion and the team averages 2.2 yards per rush. Expect this one to get out of hand early, with a very good likelihood that the Bearcats cover the 23 point spread.
