Fresno State looks to complete the regular season undefeated and untied for just the third time in school history, as it occupies the No. 16 spot in the current BCS standings, which is important to consider when making your college football picks.  The Bulldogs are led by Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Derek Carr, who has thrown for 37 touchdowns and just four interceptions.  Fresno State is 7-1 SU and 6-2 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 5-3 in that situation.

The Bulldogs have won 15 consecutive regular season games, which is the third longest streak of its kind in the country, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.  Fresno State is second nationally in averaging 573.9 yards  per game, while the offense has put up 35 or more points in each of its 10 games thus far in 2013.  Carr has some major weapons on the perimeter, with three wide receivers ranking in the top 25 in receptions per game.

San Jose State has lost three games in a row, including a 58-52 triple-overtime setback to the Navy Midshipmen as one-point home favorites in Week 13, while going OVER the betting total of 60.5.  The Spartans are winless in their last 21 games against top-25 opponents, with the last such victory coming in 2000.  The program is 2-7 all-time when finishing off a season against Friday’s opponent.  San Jose State is 13-4 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 10-6-1 in those 17 opportunities.

The Spartans need one more win to gain bowl eligibility, which is a major goal for the 18 seniors that will play their final contest at Spartan Stadium.  San Jose State is averaging 471.2 yards per game, with the passing game ranking ninth in the country at 335.8.  Quarterback David Fales will try to match Carr on the scoreboard—entering with 7,835 career passing yards and 60 touchdowns.

Sports bettors will likely back the Spartans due to their 10-4 ATS mark versus teams with a winning record.
