BYU picked up a 59-13 blowout victory over Idaho State as 46-point home favorites last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total of 60.  The Cougars are 8-8 SU against FBS independents, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions in Week 13.  Offensively, the team ranks 13th in the country in averaging 503.7 yards per game, with 265.4 coming in the ground.  BYU is 5-3 SU and 3-5 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 4-3-1 in that situation.

The Cougars also have a capable defense, with linebacker Kyle Van Noy leading the charge, entering with the second most sacks nationally among active players.  The six teams BYU has defeated in 2013 have a combined winning percentage of 67.9 percent, the highest percentage of any team with at least four wins over FBS schools.  Dual-threat quarterback Taysom Hill ranks second in the country with 44 plays of 10-plus rushing yards, while his main target in the passing game is Cody Hoffman, who has 33 career receiving touchdowns.

Notre Dame had its four-game winning streak snapped on Nov. 9, as it suffered a 28-21 setback to the Pittsburgh Panthers as 4.5-point road favorites, while going UNDER the betting total for the third time in four contests.  The Fighting Irish have only lost three fumbles in 2013, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page, but quarterback Tommy Rees has been known to throw interceptions in critical situations during his time in South Bend.  Notre Dame is 3-5 SUATS as underdogs the last two-plus seasons.

The Fighting Irish are 5-2 SU all-time against the Cougars, including a 4-1 mark at Notre Dame Stadium.  Notre Dame will be celebrating its Senior Day, as its current group tries to become the first class since 2003 to win all four home finales during its time on campus.  It’s important to point out that no FBS team has more victorious against current AP Top 25 schools than Saturday’s host in this affair.

Sports bettors will likely back the Fighting Irish due to their 5-1 ATS mark following a bye week.
