The Ohio State Buckeyes are one of the top offensive teams in the country heading into Week 12

Ohio State has won seven consecutive games since suffering its only defeat to Virginia Tech on Sept. 6, as it comes off a 49-37 victory over the Michigan State Spartans as 3.5-point road underdogs last week, while going OVER the betting total for the eighth time in nine opportunities.  The Buckeyes have won a Big Ten record 21 consecutive regular season conference games, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 12 college football predictions, as they’ve also captured 12 straight games on the road.  Ohio State is 12-0 SU and 5-7 ATS as favorites of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Buckeyes have a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender in J.T. Barrett, which is important to consider when looking over the college football betting lines, as he’s responsible for 34 touchdowns—second most among FBS players.  Ohio State is 10th in the country in total offense and tied for fourth in averaging 36.0 points per game.  It’s important to point out that the squad racked up an impressive 568 total yards against a top-flight defense last week in East Lansing.

Minnesota has won five of its last six games, including a 51-14 blowout victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes as 1.5-point home underdogs last week, while capturing the statistical battle by 224 yards.  The Golden Gophers are 8-3 SU in their last 11 conference games, while they’ve put together a perfect 6-0 SU mark at TCF Bank Stadium during the 2014 campaign.  Minnesota is 4-5 SU and 6-3 ATS in November the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 5-3-1 in those nine opportunities.

The Golden Gophers have ran the ball 425 times this season, while they’ve put the ball in the air just 165 times.  Minnesota has scored 32 offensive touchdowns this year and 21 of them have come on the ground.  That’s the recipe for success under head coach Jerry Kill, as the program is 17-2 SU during his time on campus when eclipsing the 200-yard rushing mark.

Sports bettors will likely back the Buckeyes due to the favorite going 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
