The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets rank third nationally in averaging 319.7 rushing yards per game

Georgia Tech has won and covered the number in its last two affairs, including a 35-10 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers as four-point home favorites last Saturday, while capturing the statistical battle for a fifth consecutive contest.  The Yellow Jackets are one of three FBS offenses scoring on 50-plus percent of their offensive possessions this season, which is important to consider when making your Week 11 college football betting picks, with Georgia Southern and Oregon being the other two.  Georgia Tech is 4-0 SU and 3-1 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 3-1 in that situation.

The Yellow Jackets have finished .500 or better in conference play for 20 consecutive seasons, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football betting lines, as that streak is the longest active one in the country.  Georgia Tech leads the Atlantic Coast Conference and ranks third nationally in rushing for 319.7 rushing yards per game.  It’s important to point out that the program has won six of the last eight meetings in this series.

NC State snapped a four-game losing streak in picking up a 24-17 victory over the Syracuse Orange as 2.5-point road underdogs last week, but it was out-gained for a fifth consecutive affair.  The Wolfpack can accomplish one of their preseason goals in becoming bowl eligible with a victory, but it’ll need to continue forcing opponents into making mistakes, as they’ve totaled 14 takeaways in 2014.  NC State is 0-5 SUATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the OVER going 4-1 in those five opportunities.

The Wolfpack are a very young football team, with 86 percent of their receiving yards and 88 of their touchdown scoring have come from freshmen and sophomores.  NC State has also had seven different true freshmen earn starts this season, which is the fifth-highest total in the FBS.  The team hasn’t played a home game in almost a month, with its last contest at Carter-Finley Stadium coming on Oct. 11.

Sports bettors will likely back the Yellow Jackets due to their 3-0-1 ATS mark in their last four road games in this series.
