Alex Collins-arkansas-2014Arkansas snapped a three-game losing streak in picking up a 45-17 victory over the UAB Blazers as 24.5-point home favorites last Saturday, while it captured the statistical battle for the sixth time in seven contests.  The Razorbacks’ 4-4 record already surpasses its win total of three during Bret Bielema’s first year on campus, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 10 college football betting picks.  Offensively, the team has gained 400-plus yards in six of eight affairs in 2014.  Arkansas is 7-1 ATS in its last eight games versus teams with a winning record.

The Razorbacks have one of the top running games in the country, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds, as Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams are one of the top backfield duos.  Arkansas is hoping that signal-caller Brandon Allen can build off his latest performance, as he finished the first half with 178 passing yards, while the team scored a touchdown on its first four possessions.  The program will be seeking revenge from a 24-17 overtime loss as 2.5-point home underdogs to this week’s Southeastern Conference opponent.

Mississippi State is 7-0 SU and 5-2 ATS on the season, as it will hold onto its top spot in the national rankings after picking up a 45-31 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats as 14.5-point road favorites last week.  The Bulldogs’ 10-game win streak is the second-longest in the country behind defending national champion Florida State, which has been made possible by scoring 299 points and gaining 3,720 yards in its first seven games of the 2014 campaign.  Mississippi State is 4-0 ATS in its last four November affairs.

The Bulldogs have won 37 of 38 games when leading at halftime under Dan Mullen, but they’ve gone 4-15 SU all-time in this series.  Mississippi State continues to get tremendous play out of Heisman Trophy candidate Dak Prescott, who is the only player to total three or more touchdowns in seven-straight games this year.

Sports bettors will likely back the Bulldogs due to the home team going 10-2 ATS in the last 12 meetings in this series.
