The Boise State Broncos are 5-0 ATS as a favorite of 21.5 to 31 points

Tulsa comes into this contest with a 1-2 record, but has arguably played the toughest schedule in the country, facing Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in two of those games.  The Golden Hurricane lost both of those contests, but did come away with a 31-3 win over Tulane as 12-point road favorites in their Conference USA opener.  It’s important to point out that the team has played the entire season without second-team All-American wide receiver Damaris Johnson, who was suspended indefinitely before the season started.  Tulsa is 14-12 ATS over the last two-plus seasons.

The Golden Hurricane did manage to rush for 365 yards in last week’s 59-33 loss to the Cowboys as 13.5-point home underdogs.  A pair of sophomore running backs gained all but 33 of those yards, which was the first time the program has had a pair of runners break the century mark in the same game since 2006.  Ja’Terian Douglas and Trey Watts managed to average 9.4 yards a carry in the contest.  Quarterback G.J. Kinne is doubtful to play in this contest due to a knee injury suffered last week.  Kalen Henderson stepped in under center last week and threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns.

Boise State is set to play its first home game after tallying a neutral-site win over Georgia (35-21) and registering a road win over Toledo (40-15) last week.  The Broncos have combined to out-gain their opponents by 278 yards this year.  Leading the way is starting quarterback Kellen Moore, who threw for 455 yards and five touchdowns last week, as it also served as his 40th win, while he’s thrown at least a pair of touchdowns in 15 straight games.  Boise State is 5-0 ATS as a favorite of 21.5 to 31 points.

The Broncos lead the all-time series with the Golden Hurricane, 5-0, while also posting a 16-2 mark against current members of Conference USA.  Head coach Chris Petersen has truly developed a dominating program, posting a 63-5 record over the last five seasons.  Moore is a huge part of this year’s success and he’s protected by an offensive line that has not allowed a sack.  Boise State is also a dominating 69-2 at home since the beginning of the 2000 season, coming into Saturday with 32 consecutive wins inside Bronco Stadium.  That mark is second to only Oklahoma’s 38-straight home wins.

Bettors will find that the Broncos are 43-21-2 ATS as a home favorite, while the Golden Hurricane are 0-4 ATS as an underdog of 10.5 or more points.
