Tennessee Vs LSU Betting Preview
The LSU Tigers are potentially two wins away from playing for the national title

Arkansas heads to Baton Rouge this week to face the LSU Tigers in a matchup that features two of the top three teams in the current BCS standings.  The Razorbacks have tallied a 4-13 all-time record when facing the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25 poll.  “I like how we’re playing right now,” stated Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino.  “We’re playing good football.”  He’s certainly right in stating that fact, with the team rattling off seven consecutive wins since a 38-14 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide as 11-point road underdogs.  Arkansas is 11-0 ATS in November the last two-plus years.

The Razorbacks just finished off a perfect 7-0 campaign at home, finishing off their recent three-game homestand with a 44-17 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs as 13-point favorites.  Arkansas has won 11 of its last 12 November games and Petrino is known for getting his team to play its best football this time of year.  Quarterback Tyler Wilson will face a dominating defense Friday, coming in leading the Southeastern Conference in averaging 292.3 passing yards per game.  He will be looking to connect with wide receiver Jarius Wright down field.

LSU has potentially two road blocks remaining in terms of actually reaching the BCS Championship Game, as the school is aiming for its first-ever 12-0 start.  “We look forward to our future,” stated Tigers coach Les Miles.  “I think our football team recognizes that we control our destiny.” The program possesses one of the top defenses in the nation, ranking in the top five nationally in five major categories, including second in giving up just 10 points per game.  LSU is 8-3 ATS this season and covered all three opportunities as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points.

The Tigers will be meeting the Razorbacks for the 57th time in this series, leading 34-20-2, with a combined total of 21 points being the difference in the last six games.  LSU normally jumps on its opponents due to a defense that has surrendered just four first-half touchdowns all year.  Offensively, the team is still going with the quarterback tandem of Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee, giving Miles plenty of flexibility.  Turnovers will likely play a major part in this outcome, which gives LSU an edge, leading the entire country in turnover margin.

Bettors will likely back the Razorbacks due to their 4-1 ATS mark in their last five games inside Tigers Stadium, while the Tigers are 5-13 ATS in November.
