The Arizona State Sun Devils will look to snap a three-game losing streak Friday night

California is set to play its regular-season finale inside Sun Devil Stadium and will not have to worry about becoming bowl eligible.  The Golden Bears have covered three consecutive games, but come off a hard-fought 31-28 loss to the Stanford Cardinal as 17-point road underdogs a week ago.  Head coach Jeff Tedford can motivate his squad by relaying the message that a win Saturday night would give the program its ninth winning season in the past 10 years.  California is 6-4 ATS in November games the past two-plus seasons.

The Golden Bears defense leads the Pac-12 Conference in allowing just 326.9 yards per game and will be tested against an offensive unit that sits fourth in tallying 448.5 yards per game.  California holds a slim 16-14 advantage in the all-time series and has won three in a row and seven of eight since Tedford arrived on campus.  Offensively, wide receiver Keenan Allen is the start of the show, ranking 10th in averaging 7.64 catches per game.  Quarterback Zach Maynard has completed 55.8 percent of his passes for 2,565 yards and 16 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.

Arizona State will look to snap a three-game losing streak that includes a 31-27 defeat to the Arizona Cardinals as 10-point home favorites a week ago.  The Sun Devils recent stretch has likely ended any chance of coach Dennis Erickson receiving a contract extension.  “It doesn’t get any more disappointing than losing that football game,” Erickson stated after the game.  Quarterback Brock Osweiler continues to be a bright spot, completing a career-high 36 passes versus the program’s in-state rival.  Arizona State is 0-3 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points this season.

The Sun Devils will be celebrating the final game inside Sun Devil Stadium for 24 seniors Friday night, while the program is 0-3 ATS in November.  Arizona State junior running back Cameron Marshall is enjoying a sensational season, gaining 881 yards on the ground, which is nearly 100 yards more than his career-high from a year ago (787).  On the defensive side of the football, the unit has forced 28 turnovers this season, helping the team enter this showdown with a plus-11 turnover ratio that leads the conference.

Bettors will likely back the Golden Bears due to their 6-2 ATS mark as a road underdog of 3.5 to 10 points, while the Sun Devils are 2-9 ATS as a home favorite of 3.5 to 10 points.
