NC State Vs Georgia Tech College Football Betting Preview
Georgia Tech is currently listed as 8.5 point home favorites over NC State

Coach Tom O’Brien leads his 3-0 North Carolina St Wolfpack to Atlanta to take on Paul Johnson’s Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Wolfpack are 3-0 for the first time since 2002 after beating Cincinnati last week 30-19. The Yellow Jackets are 2-1 after beating a depleted North Carolina team  30-24 last week. This is the conference opener for North Carolina St, and it won’t be easy to stop Georgia Tech’s triple option offense as the Wolfpack are 8.5 point underdogs on the current college football betting odds. The teams haven’t met since 2006 but Georgia Tech is 4-1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings, and also 5 of the last 6 games between the  two have gone under the total.

North Carolina St beat a rebuilding Cincinnati team last week 30-19. it wasn’t that close as the Bearcats scored two late touchdowns to make the score respectable. The Wolfpack were up 30-7 with 6 minutes to go, before Cincinnati scored the final 12 points of the game. The Wolfpack offense is led by quarterback Russell Wilson who has been brilliant this year. He has 744 passing yards in htree games along with 8 touchdowns and no picks. The rushing game is gaining 140 yards a game as well, led by the three-headed attack of Mustafa Greene, Dean Haynes, and Wilson. Wilson also spreads the ball around as 7 players have at least 4 catches this year. The defense has been pretty good so far as they are only giving up less than 300 yards a game, along with forcing 7 turnovers and 11 sacks. However the key to playing Georgia Tech is stopping the run. The Wolfpack are only giving up 85 yards a game, but that might be misleading. The Wolfpack had big leads in all three of their games, and the opponents had to throw the ball more to catch up. It will be interesting to see if the Wolfpack defense can hold up to Georgia Tech rushing 40-50 times in the game.

Georgia Tech beat North Carolina 30-24 last week to rebound from a 28-25 loss at Kansas the week before. The Yellow Jackets are gaining 345 yards a game on the ground, which is third best in the nation. Quarterback Joshua Nesbitt is the teams leading rusher with 267 yards on 57 carries with 6 touchdowns. Passing is almost an afterthought in the triple option. The Jackets are only throwing for 68 yards a game. Nesbitt has only attempted 25 passes thsi season, and completed 9 of them for 200 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception. Defensively, they have similar yardage numbers as North Carolina St, giving up just over 300 yards a game. The Jackets only have 5 sacks and four forced turnovers. Coach Johnson wants Georgia Tech to focus on stopping the run. Dating back to last season the Yellow Jackets have allowed a player to rush for over 100 yards in 6 straight contests.

Gametime temperatures are supposed to be in the low 90’s or high 80’s. As mentioned, Georgia Tech has had some success recently in the series, and usually these teams play tight defensive struggles, however, you should take those stats with a grain of salt, as they haven’t played each other in 4 years.  We dont have an opinion on this game at this time but we have 7 college football betting picks lined up for Saturday.  We are riding a 18-5 pick run in college football so dont miss these winners.
