Louisiana-Monroe is looking to knock off a top-five opponent for the first time in school history, while its last win over a ranked opponent came in 1992, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions Friday night.  The Warhawks lead the Sun Belt Conference in rebounding margin, assists and steals.  Senior Amos Olatayo is the player to watch offensively, as he leads the team in scoring 15.6 points a contest—notching double-figures in 14 of his last 15 games.  Louisiana-Monroe is 0-3 SU and 0-3 ATS as road underdogs of 24.5 to 30 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Warhawks have had at least two double-figure scorers in every game during the 2013-14 campaign, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  Louisiana-Monroe is averaging 70.6 points per game and shooting 45.1 percent from the floor, but it has struggled at the charity stripe in knocking down just 65.8 percent of its attempts.

Ohio State has won its first 12 games of the season, including a 64-61 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as six-point neutral-site favorites last Saturday, while going UNDER the betting total for the fourth time in five contests.  The Buckeyes rank third in the nation in three-point field goal percentage defense, while sitting behind just four teams in allowing 55.9 points per game.  In five of its last seven games, the team has connected on better than 52 percent of its field goals.  Ohio State is 15-0 SU and 3-12 ATS in its last 15 opportunities as home favorites of 24.5 to 30 points.

The Buckeyes are 7-1 SU all-time against current members of the Sun Belt, but haven’t faced a foe of that kind since 1997.  Ohio State has compiled a dominating 132-23 SU record against non-conference opponents under head coach Thad Matta.  Senior point guard Aaron Craft is the school’s career leader in assists and steals, while LaQuinton Ross tallied his second double-double of the season against the Fighting Irish.

Sports bettors will likely back the Warhawks due to their 7-1 ATS mark in their last eight games against non-conference opponents.
