Florida has won five games in a row, including a 67-66 victory over the Florida State Seminoles as 8.5-point home favorites last Friday, while going UNDER the betting total of 137.5.  The Gators are led offensively by senior forward Casey Prather, who is averaging 19.1 points per game, which is far different than his 3.1 average during his first three seasons in Gainesville.  Florida is 1-7 SU and 4-3-1 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 5-3 in that situation.

The Gators are allowing an SEC-low 60.3 points per game and have held five of their past six opponents to 60 or fewer points, which is important to consider when making your college basketball predictions Monday night.  Florida also possesses the best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference, with the backcourt of Michael Frazier II and Scottie Wilbekin being one of the best in the country.

Connecticut has opened the season with a perfect 7-0 record, as it comes off a 76-66 home victory over Loyola Maryland last Tuesday, with the program finishing off a stretch of seven games in 19 days.  The Huskies are led by senior guard Shabazz Napier, who is leading the team in points, rebounding and assists, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball odds page.  Connecticut is 3-1 SUATS as home favorites of 3.5 to 6 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-1 in that situation.

The Huskies are getting some quality production out of its bench during the 2013-14 campaign, with the group averaging 24.9 points per game.  Connecticut’s reserves didn’t score more than 25 points in any game a year ago.  With 27 wins in his first 37 games as a head coach, Kevin Ollie’s .730 winning percentage is the highest in school history for any person who coached 20 or more contests.

Sports bettors will likely back the Huskies due to their 6-2 ATS mark at home, while the Gators are 0-4 ATS on the road.
