Oklahoma has alternated wins and losses in its first three games to start the 2014-15 campaign, as it comes off a 90-68 victory over Northwestern State Sunday.  The Sooners have three of five probable starters averaging in double figures, which is important to consider when making your college basketball betting picks, with junior guard Buddy Hield leading the way in scoring 20.7 points a contest.  He’s the main player to handicap in this matchup due to hailing from the Freeport, Bahamas area.  Oklahoma is 1-5 ATS in its last six non-conference affairs.

The Sooners got a major boost before the season began by learning that forward TaShawn Thomas would be eligible, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball lines, as he averaged 14.5 points and 8.7 rebounds in three seasons with the Houston Cougars.  It’s important to point out that the program has dropped its previous three all-time meetings in this series, but each of those took place in Southern California and the last instance came in 1974-75.

UCLA has captured its first four games of the season, as it prepares to play away from Pauley Pavilion for the first time.  The Bruins are coming off an impressive 77-63 victory over Long Beach State as 10-point home favorites Sunday, while going UNDER the betting total of 152.5.  Offensively, the main player to watch is senior Norman Powell, who was recently named the Pac-12 Player of the Week by averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals.  UCLA is 5-1 ATS in its last six games on a neutral floor.

The Bruins have been pleased with the early play of point guard Bryce Alford, who is second on the team in averaging 20.0 points, while he leads the team in dishing out 9.8 assists per contest.  UCLA also has one of the best young players in the country, with Kevin Looney becoming the first true freshman in school history to record at least three double-doubles in his first four collegiate games.

Sports bettors will likely back the Sooners due to the Bruins being 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games versus Big 12 Conference opponents.
