Michigan bounced back from only its second loss of the season last time out, as it picked up a 76-74 overtime win over the Ohio State Buckeyes as seven-point home favorites, while going OVER the total for a second consecutive contest.  The Wolverines are certainly going to be up against it here, considering they’ve lost their last 10 trips to Madison—losing those games by an average of 14.7 points.  Michigan is 11-3 ATS on the road when the total is 120 to 129.5, which is important to consider when making your NCAA basketball picks Saturday.

The Wolverines have one of the more talented backcourts in the country, with Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr. combining to average 34.1 points per game.  Michigan is averaging 77.7 points per game, which currently ranks as the highest per-game average under a John Beilein team during his time in Ann Arbor.  The program has won by an average of 17.5 points per game this season, which is the third-best mark nationally.

Wisconsin will be playing its eighth game of the season against a top-25 foe, as it looks to improve upon its 3-4 record in that situation.  The Badgers have won their last two games, including a 74-70 overtime victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes as 8.5-point home favorites, but have bone 1-5 ATS in their last six contests.  Head coach Bo Ryan has led the program to an 88-10 record at home during Big Ten Conference play during his time in Madison.  Wisconsin is 1-3 SUATS as an underdog this year, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college basketball betting lines.

The Badgers lead the Big Ten in scoring defense in allowing 56.2 points per game, which ranks 11th nationally.  Wisconsin is limiting foes to just 50.6 points at home during the 2012-13 campaign.  Defensively, the team has limited Michigan to 61 points or less in the last 11 meetings in this series, while Ryan is 9-1 versus Beilein in head-to-head matches.

Sports bettors will likely back the Badgers due to the underdog going 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings in this series.
