The Rutgers Scarlet Knights have won four of their last six home games against ranked foes

Cincinnati has dropped back-to-back games, including a 66-60 decision to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as 4.5-point home favorites, while going UNDER the total for the third time in four contests.  “It’s the Big East now,” stated Bearcats guard Sean Kilpatrick.  He leads three probable starters in scoring in double figures, averaging 17.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.  The Bearcats have won 10 of their last 12 games away from home, while posting a 5-0 mark away from Fifth Third Arena this year.  Cincinnati is 4-12 ATS in its last 16 Saturday affairs, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA basketball picks.

The Bearcats really get after it on the defensive end, as opponents are averaging 11.86 points below their season scoring average when facing them, while they rank second in the Big East Conference in limiting foes to 36.5 percent shooting.  Cincinnati is 12-4 all-time in this series, but 3-3 when playing on the road.  Kilpatrick is fifth in the conference in averaging 2.31 3-point makes per game.

Rutgers returns to the friendly confines of the RAC, as it picked up a 58-56 victory over the St. John’s Red Storm as four-point road underdogs last time out, while going UNDER the posted total of 137.5.  “It’s nice to have seniors,” stated Scarlet Knights coach Mike Rice.  The Scarlet Knights will now look to improve to 3-1 in Big East play for the first time since joining the conference in 1995-96.  The program has won four of its last six games against ranked foes at this venue.  Rutgers is 5-0 ATS at home when facing a team with a winning road record, something to consider when looking over the college basketball odds page.

The Scarlet Knights have two probable starters averaging in double figures, with sophomore guard Eli Carter leading the way in scoring 16.9 points per game.  No player on Rutgers roster is currently averaging 30 minutes per game, while the team is a perfect 10-0 on the year when outshooting its opponent.

Sports bettors will likely back the Scarlet Knights due to their 4-1 ATS mark at home, while the Bearcats are 1-4 ATS in their last five games.
