Arizona has dropped back-to-back games, including a 71-58 setback to the Colorado Buffaloes as 1.5-point road favorites Thursday night, while going UNDER the total for the first time in four contests.  The Wildcats defense has fallen off over the last two contests, as their opponents have shot a combined 54.5 percent from the field.  “Our defense has been what has gotten us to this point,” commented Wildcats coach Sean Miller.  The program has won three straight games in Salt Lake City, which is its longest such winning streak in the series.  Arizona is 2-0 SUATS as road favorites of 6.5 to 9 points this season, which can’t be ignored when making your college basketball picks against the spread Sunday.

The Wildcats have averaged 64.7 points over their last three road games, something to consider when looking over the college basketball betting lines.  Arizona connected on just 36.2 percent of its field goal attempts in a 60-57 victory over Utah as 19-point home favorites in the first meeting this year, while going UNDER the posted total of 126.  Through 12 Pac-12 Conference games, the team is scoring 30.2 points per game in the paint and outscoring foes by an average of 4.33 in that category.

Utah matched its win total in Pac-12 play from last season by erasing an eight-point deficit in the second half of a 60-55 win over Arizona State as two-point home underdogs Wednesday night.  “We are trying to get it restored and games like this give us some momentum,” commented Utes coach Larry Krystkowiak in regards to rebuilding a once proud program.  The Utes lead the conference and rank 24th nationally in limiting foes to 38.6 percent shooting from the field.  Utah is 17-6 ATS when revenging a road loss versus an opponent the last two-plus seasons.

The Utes have three players averaging in double figures offensively, with freshman forward Jordan Loveridge leading the way in scoring 12.0 points per game.  In conference home games over the last 17 years, Utah has compiled a 112-33 record, which is important to consider when making your NCAA basketball picks to close out the weekend.  Jarred DuBois, a senior transfer from Loyola Marymount, has scored 20 or more in four games this season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Wildcats due to the road team covering the spread in the last six meetings in this series.
