The Green Bay Packers are 9-0 SU as home favorites of 10.5 to 14 points since 2011

Chicago is focused on trying to grab a share of first place in the NFC North division and end a six-game losing streak to Green Bay, as it comes off a bye week after suffering a 45-41 defeat to the Washington Redskins on Oct. 20.  The Bears will play without quarterback Jay Cutler and linebacker Lance Briggs, which is important to consider when making your NFL betting picks in this primetime event.  Chicago is 4-10 SU and 4-9-1 ATS as an underdog the last two-plus seasons, with no clear edge in terms of the betting total (7-7 Over/Under).

The Bears will be led offensively by quarterback Josh McCown, who will make his first start since the 2011 season finale.  He completed 14 of 20 passes for 204 yards with a touchdown and a 119.6 passer rating against the Redskins.  Chicago has plenty of perimeter weapons for McCown to target, including Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett.  Offensively, the team is averaging 30.4 points per game, but the team is on pace to set a franchise mark for most points allowed in a season.

Green Bay has had a winning streak of four or more games each of the past five seasons, which is important to consider when looking over the pro football odds page, as its the only team to accomplish that type of feat.  The Packers have won nine consecutive meetings against the Bears when including the playoffs, but seven of the last 10 in the series have been decided by eight points or less.  It’s important to point out that this squad has won 14 of its last 15 regular-season games against division foes.    Green Bay is 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS as home favorites of 10.5 to 14 points the last two-plus seasons.

The Packers and Bears have split their previous 10 meetings on Monday Night Football, while tonight’s host is 9-3 overall in its last 12 prime-time contests.  Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers has enjoyed facing NFC North opponents—posting a  110.7 passer rating in the regular season.  He has completed 69 percent of his passes for 2,486 yards and 19 touchdowns with six interceptions during the regular season against the Bears.

Sports bettors will likely back the Packers due to the favorite covering the number in the last five meetings in this series.
