I mean John David Booty—do you like him? The best QB in the QB-rich PAC-10? Probably. Heisman Trophy winner? Quite possibly. The ability to lead USC to a national championship? He has it. Continue reading “CFB- Do You like Booty”
Okay, here’s the skinny (sorry for the pun Charlie Weiss). Weiss underwent gastric bypass surgery when he was with the New England Patriots and almost died after surgery. He took his doctors to court, claiming that they had messed up post-op care. But the trial ended up in a hung jury and Weiss, with no settlement in site, has decided to pursue the doctors once again. Well, the Big Ten is wide open—sort of. Here’s why.

It’s time for the Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and LSU. You can catch Brady Quinn and company as they take on JaMarcus Russell and his squad. There’s a lot at stake for the Fighting Irish and for Quinn. Since 1994, Notre Dame has been in eight bowl games and has lost them all, including a 20 to 34 beating last year by Ohio State in the Fiesta.
Tennessee has a potent air game, but it just got a little weaker due to Bret Smith (39 REC, 453 YDS, 11.6 AVG, 5 TD) being ruled academically ineligible for the post-season contest against Penn State. Continue reading “Vols’ WR Bret Smith to Miss Outback Bowl”
It is the Big East game of the season– #13 Rutgers (10-1, 5- 1 Big East) versus #15 West Virginia (9- 2, 4- 2 Big East). What’s at stake is a BCS Bowl bid. If Rutgers wins they will go to either the Orange, Sugar or Rose Bowl. That’s all that there is to it. Even if #6 Louisville (10- 1, 5- 1 Big East) beats Connecticut (4- 7, 1- 5 Big East) on Saturday, which they should, the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers will still win the Big East title by virtue of their win over Louisville 28- 25 on November 9th.
