Iowa State has dropped back-to-back games, including a 59-14 setback to the Oklahoma Sooners as 15.5-point home underdogs last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a third consecutive contest.  The Cyclones have won four-straight games in this Big 12 Conference series, which can’t be ignored when making your Week 11 college football betting picks, as they picked up a 34-0 blowout victory as four-point home favorites in 2013.  Iowa State is 3-2 SUATS as favorites of 3.5 to 10 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-2 in that situation.

The Cyclones have faced a difficult schedule during the 2014 campaign, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds page, as their first eight opponents have put together a combined 49-18 SU overall record.  Iowa State ranks 15th in the country in fewest turnovers—committing just nine miscues on the year.  The program has a chance of extending its winning ways in this series due to the play of quarterback Sam Richardson this year, who ranks third in the Big 12 in averaging 23.5 completions per game.

Kansas has dropped five games in a row, including a 60-14 blowout loss to the Baylor Bears as 34.5-point road underdogs last week, while going OVER the betting total for the first time since its season opener.  The Jayhawks own a 49-38-6 all-time advantage in this series, including a 27-16-3 mark when playing in Lawrence.  Offensively, the team has been pleased by the recent play of junior quarterback Michael Cummings, as he’s completed 61-of-99 passes in his three games as a starter.  Over the last two-plus seasons, Kansas is 1-5 SU and 1-4-1 ATS as underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points.

The Jayhawks also have a playmaker in Michael Reynolds on the other side of the ball, as he’s racked up a team-leading 11.5 tackles-for-loss, with six of those coming in the last three contests.  Expect Cummings to target senior wideout Nick Harwell in the passing game, as he’s caught a pass in 39 of the 41 games he has suited up for.

Sports bettors will likely back the Cyclones due to the road team going 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings in this rivalry.
