Duke will strut out its number one recruit 7’0” Jahlil Okafor as it plays host to lowly Fairfield in its second game of the season.

Mike Kryzewski and the Blue Devils are 33-point favorites in this contest according to college basketball odds at Bovada.

No. 4 Duke obliterated Presbyterian 113-44 last night. After this game, the next for Duke will be a matchup against No. 18 Michigan State.

Duke was weak defensively last year when the team needed it most. Teaming Okafor up with Tyus Jones is a great inside/outside combo, and Quinn Cook will be a great running mate for Jones in the backcourt. Duke has had strong guard rotations in the last decade, and this year won’t be any different.

While Okafor is almost sure to be a one-and-done, he’s the best freshman in the country this year and will help Duke before he departs for the NBA.

Fairfield finished 7-25 last season and are rebuilding still. Marcus Gilbert and Amadou Sidibe should be the heart and soul of this team, Gilbert averaging 13.9 points per game last season. Sophomore point guard K.J. Rose is due for an increase in usage and JUCO guard DeMarcus Threatt will play a role too. But this team is getting destroyed by Duke tonight, obviously.

Betting Trends:

Fairfield:  7-1-1 ATS in last 9 road game.

Duke:  2-5-1 ATS in last 8 home games
