Last year Nebraska was one of the best teams against stopping the run, 2nd in the Big 12, 11th in the nation allowing 110 yards per game, but against the pass they had major issues, surrendering 267 yards per game, 110th worst in the country, and dead last in the Big 12. Once again the front 7 should be superior at stopping the run, but the secondary will be suspect to the pass.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Cornhuskers are in their second year of the West Coast offense. This year Nebraska has a new starting QB by way of transfer in Zac Taylor, a solid set of wide outs, and a showcase of high-quality running backs. With talent like this the offense should run smoother as the right pieces are starting to fall into Callahan's system.

We expect Nebraska to return to its winning ways (last season was first time the Cornhuskers didn't post a winning season since 1961) and return to a minor bowl game. The North is wide open so improvement in the secondary could mean another Big 12 title for Cornhusker fans.
