Stanford travels to Eugene to face the Oregon Ducks on Saturday night at Autzen Stadium.\u00a0 The Cardinal is coming off a 37-14 victory at Notre Dame on Saturday, while Oregon defeated Arizona State in Tempe, 42-31.\u00a0 Offensively, the team is averaging 48 points per game and allowing just 13.8 on the defensive end to rank 12th in the nation.\u00a0 It will be tough to continue those type of numbers when considering the team has lost seven out of the last eight and eight out of the last 10 games between the two schools dating back to 1998. Stanford\u2019s last two wins in the series have come over top-10 Oregon teams.\u00a0 Head coach Jim Harbaugh\u2019s team is focused on moving to 5-0 for the first time since the 1951 season by saying, \u201cjust important for us to move forward, get ready for Oregon, keep going with humble hearts, keep working.\u201d\u00a0 He led the squad to a 3-0 record against ranked teams last year.<\/p>\n

The Cardinal have scored 192 points in four games which is the second-highest point total after four games in school history.\u00a0 In fact, the team has scored 35 or more points in 10 of its last 17 games dating back to last season and have topped the 50-point mark four times in the last nine games.\u00a0 Stanford has won both road contests this year and is 7-11 away from Palo Alto dating back to the 2007 campaign.\u00a0 Offensive fireworks can be expected when considering that both teams have combined for an average of 63 points over its last five meetings, including last year\u2019s 93-point explosion.\u00a0 The team is 13-6 ATS against the conference over the last three seasons.<\/p>\n

Oregon has defeated Stanford by an average of 26.8 points over the past four meetings in Eugene, dating back to the 2002 season.\u00a0 The Ducks have been flat-out scary on offense this season, scoring an average of 57.8 points per game and ranking third nationally in total yards at 560 per game.\u00a0 On Saturday, the team will be going after its tenth straight Pac-10 victory at Autzen Stadium, having not dropped a conference game at home since the 2007 Civil War.\u00a0 It\u2019s also important to note that this contest will be covered by ESPN\u2019s College GameDay, with the Ducks sporting a 3-1 record in those situations.\u00a0 Oregon is 17-13 ATS over its last 30 games and 10-5 ATS at home over the past three years.<\/p>\n

The Ducks will definitely be confident knowing they\u2019ve defeated the Cardinal in eight of the last 10 meetings, but the team has nothing but respect for Saturday\u2019s opponent.\u00a0 \u201cObviously, they\u2019re one of the top teams in the country and it\u2019s going to be a dogfight,\u201d said head coach Chip Kelly.\u00a0 Since the 1999 campaign, Oregon is 8-9 against top 10 opposition, including wins in four out of the last six.\u00a0 This contest will be the team\u2019s first against the top 25 this season, as the squad was 4-2 against ranked foes in 2009.\u00a0 Oregon is 3-5 ATS as a favorite of 3.5 to 10 points over the last three years and 18-35 ATS in its last 53 chances in the situation.<\/p>\n

Bettors will have a definite interest in backing the Cardinal\u2019 in this contest due to the team\u2019s 4-0 ATS mark on the road, while the Ducks are a dominating 16-5 ATS in October.<\/p>\n
