There are a number of interesting games slated for Saturday, and here’s a quick look at a few of them along with where the odds have shifted.

Penn State (13 ½) vs. Temple– This line has been one of the biggest movers. Penn State opened as an 18 point favorite, then got steamed down to 13 ½. It’s sat there for a day or two, but don’t be surprised to see some buy back here. The public is back on the side of the Nittany Lions at 55%, and a few books are at 14 points. Temple is 3-0 after winning straight up as an underdog against UCONN, while Penn State is 2-1 after blanking Kent State, 24-0.

Alabama (-7) at Arkansas– The biggest game of the weekend takes place Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Arkansas. ‘Bama opened at 6 points but early money on the Tide has moved the line up to 7. The line hasn’t moved since then. Ryan Mallett is the only college quarterback to have thrown for 1,000 yards this season. Alabama has been dominant, but they have two new starting cornerbacks this season. Last year the Tide rolled the Razorbacks, 35-7.

Boise State (-18) vs. Oregon State – The Broncos opened as 17 point home favorites, and after the line moved slightly down it’s come back up. Books are currently listing Boise at anywhere from 17 ½ to 18 ½, while most are at 18 points. ESPN College Game Day will be in Boise on Saturday. The feeling is that the Broncos need to make a major statement if they have any hopes of playing for a national championship. For the Beavers, the Rodgers brothers must play big if Oregon State wants to hang around.

Stanford (-4 ½) at Notre Dame– The Cardinal came out as a 2 ½ point road favorite, but the line has been pushed up to 4 ½ points. Notre Dame is 0-10 straight up in their last 10 games against ranked opponents. Stanford stuck it to Wake Forest last week, while Notre Dame lost a heartbreaker to Michigan State in overtime on a fake field goal. Last year Stanford beat the Irish in a shootout at home, 45-38.

Arizona (-6 ½) vs. California– This has been a steady line. The Wildcats opened as a 6 ½ point home favorite against Cal, and the line hasn’t wavered much. Arizona is fresh off a thrilling win over Iowa. The Hawks found out how difficult it is to play in the desert, and now the Golden Bears have to walk that line. Shane Vereen is one of the best running backs in the country, but as a team Cal will have to play much better than they did at Nevada last week. Cal won last year’s meeting, 24-16.

Texas (-15 ½) vs. UCLA – The Longhorns opened at 14 ½ but most books have moved that up to 15 ½ or 16 points. Texas might be down from last year, but they still have a wealth of talent. UCLA beat a ranked team last Saturday night, but do they have enough to compete with a much bigger, more talented Texas team?

LSU (-10) vs. West Virginia – This is another line that has seen big movement. The home Tigers opened at 6 ½ points but the line has been steamed up to 10 points. The Big East has been disappointing this year, and the Mountaineers might have value with this line. The squares don’t think so – they’re still playing LSU at over 60%.

Oregon (-11 ½) at Arizona State – The Ducks opened as a 9 ½ point road favorite, but now books are listing the game at 11 ½ or even 12 points. The public is all over the Ducks, playing them at nearly 95%. Oregon’s offense is on pace to shatter records. The Sun Devils will try to bounce back from their devastating loss to Wisconsin on a blocked PAT. Last year the Ducks won easily, 44-21.

Maddux Sports has 7 strong winners lined up for Saturday, we are expecting to stuff the wallets of everyone that is following us. We are hot right now on a 18-6 ncaa pick run so dont miss out and get the saturday college football picks package or better yet a season package and turn profits against the bookmakers the rest of the NCAA season.

The week 4 lines on college football have seen a great deal of movement.
