It was Boston’s first road win in the 2008 NBA playoffs. Boston has forged ahead 2-1 in the series, and according to history, they now have a 75% chance of taking the conference finals. The fact is that the Celtics have regained home court advantage in the series.

And the Celtics have a certain thrust and power that the Pistons do not possess. The problem for Detroit is that the club’s chemistry has grown old and they have underachieved over the years. Boston has old and new blood, young guys and vets and starters and important role players. Depth, talent and team play define the Celtics.

Boston will be in the NBA finals.

On the west coast, the Los Angeles Lakers have been spanking and humiliating the San Antonio Spurs. Yes, those same Spurs that won the NBA Championship last season. But it should not surprise anyone that LA is doing s number on them. Crunch the numbers, analyze the match-ups and consider the benches and the edge goes to the Lakers.

The teams played two in Los Angeles and are headed to San Antonio. The Spurs can only play one game at a time, but the fact is that they must win both home games in order to have a chance at winning the West.

Here’s the outcome if you’re interested—the Celtics in six and the Lakers in five. That means that we’ll have a Celtics/Lakers final, which is something that many have been hoping for ever since both teams made it into the playoffs.

Who will win that battle? My heart says Boston and my mind says the Lakers.

[133
120,80,68,83,141
post-434","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-nba-handicapping","tag-boston-celtics","tag-detroit-pistons","tag-los-angeles-lakers","tag-nba-playoffs","tag-san-antonio-spurs
["GET
