The Owls blanked Stony Brook 38-0, as Phillip Walker threw 11 of 23 for 124 yards and three TDs (with one interception). Temple also rushed for 177 yards on 39 carries, with both Jager Gardner and Ryquell Armstead scoring TDs.

Armstead led the way with 48 yards on 14 carries, but his 3.4 yards per attempt was Temple’s worst (of those with four or more carries). Keith Kirkwood and Adonis Jennings each caught four passes for 83 yards between them, as Temple had 124 passing yards. The Owls came up with three interceptions and punter Alex Starzyk averaged 47.5 yards per attempt on his four punts.

Check out our college football odds page for instant line updates on every game.

Walker has thrown 23 of 49 on the season for 292 yards with three TDs and four interceptions, for a passer rating of 100.9. Armstead has 125 yards on the season, but the average of 4.2 yards per carry is troubling. Keith Kirkwood has caught seven passes this season for 89 yards and he has two of the team’s three receiving TDs. Austin Jones has been perfect with kicks, hitting 3 of 3 FGs and 6 of 6 extra points, including his long FGA of 41 yards.

Penn State lost 42-39 to Pittsburgh in Week 2 after having been week one winners over Ken State. Last week’s defensive effort could bear improvement, as the Panthers rushed for 341 yards on PSU. The Nittany Lions had no problem generating offense of their own, but allowing 6.1 yards per carry on 56 attempts was crippling. Pitt led 28-14 at the half, and though PSU made a late game charge to get back into it, the Nittany Lions fell short.

Trace McSorley threw 24 of 35 for completion with one TD and one interception and 332 total passing yards. RB Saquon Barkley rushed for 85 yards on 20 carries wit four TDs. No other PSU rusher had much success, with McSorley losing 17 yards on nine carries. DeAndre Thompkins led the tema in receiving yards with 87 on just three catches, while DaeSean Hamilton caught eight passes for 82 yards. Barkley had the lone receiving TD. The Nittany Lions did well with returns, taking five kicks back for 110 total yards including a 33-yard return by Miles Sanders.

Shop and compare the best online sportsbooks with our sportsbook review page.

McSorley is throwing 60.6 percent for completion this season with an 8.20 yard per attempt average. He has three TDs and one INT, and a passer rating of 141.4. Thompkins leads the team with 130 receiving yards, but Chris Godwin leads in total receptions with 11. Hamilton has 10 catches for 91 yards and one of the three PSU receiving TDs on the season. Kicker Tyler Davis is perfect, 3 of 3 on field goals and 7 of 7 on extra points, but he has not attempted a field goal from further than 38 yards yet this season.

Get a full season of NFL and college football picks for just $549 with our early bird special.
