The Hurricanes travel to face No. 22 Duke in a game that the Blue Devils are 12.5 point favorites in. The over/under is 50 for the game which will air on ESPN U at 6 PM CST.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL ODDS!

The Hurricanes will be led by interim coach Larry Scott. Brad Kaaya suffered a concussion last week when Clemson rushed two DEs at five OL and came up with a sack somehow. Kaaya did not practice Tuesday, nor did Artie Burns (death of his mother) nor did WR Rashawn Scott (also injured against Clemson). Burns’ status for the game is uncertain, and Scott has not been ruled out.

But Kaaya’s status is seeming more like a no go, than just being doubtful. Prior to this week he had made 20 straight starts while throwing for over 1800 yards and 10 TDs this season. His backup Malik Rosier has completed 9 of 28 for 66 yards and two INTs in limited duty. Third string QB Evan Shirreffs has yet to make his NCAA debut.

Check out our sportsbooks reviews!

That could just be a whole world of disaster waiting to happen for Miami, and gaining stability of any sort is probably the primary objective following Golden leaving mid-season like this.

Duke is 6-1 on the season and is coming off a 45-43 victory over Virginia Tech. QB Thomas Sirk threw for 270 yards on 19 of 39 passing with four TDs and no picks, while he also ran for 109 yards on 18 attempts. Sirk has thrown for 1,530 yards on the season at a 60.1 percent clip with 11 TDs and three INTs. He has been sacked four times and has a passer rating of 129.7.

On the ground he has managed to generate good yardage, too, with 50 yards or more in six games this season including last week’s 109 yards against Virginia Tech, abetted by the game going into four OTs. In the backfield Shaquille Powell has rushed for 317 yards on 75 attempts with three TDs on the year.

Sirk has a host of receiving options led by Max McCaffrey who has 360 yards on 25 catches and a team-high three receiving TDs. McCaffrey had his best game of the season last week with 94 yards on six catches, two of which were for TD.

CHECK OUT OUR SEASON PICK PLANS TO GET IN ON THE WINNINGS!

ATS TRENDS

Miami
• Hurricanes are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games after allowing less than 170 yards passing in their previous game.
• Hurricanes are 4-9 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• Hurricanes are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 games following a SU loss of more than 20 points.
• Hurricanes are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 road games.
• Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
• Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.
• Hurricanes are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring less than 20 points in their previous game.
• Hurricanes are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
• Hurricanes are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games following a double-digit loss at home.

Duke
• Blue Devils are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 40 points in their previous game.
• Blue Devils are 11-3 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.
• Blue Devils are 19-6-1 ATS in their last 26 games in October.
• Blue Devils are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
• Blue Devils are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
• Blue Devils are 21-7-1 ATS in their last 29 games overall.
• Blue Devils are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 conference games.
• Blue Devils are 16-6 ATS in their last 22 games following a S.U. win.
• Blue Devils are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games following a ATS win.
• Blue Devils are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 home games.
• Blue Devils are 15-6-1 ATS in their last 22 games on grass.

Miami-(22) Duke Time: 6 PM Spread: DUK -12.5 Total: 50 Betting odds c/o Bovada Well the Miami Hurricanes will move out of the Al Golden era dismally as it comes off its 58-0 trouncing from Clemson.
