So far, Jameis Winston has been pretty uninspiring as an NFL QB: He ranks third-to-worst in completion percentage (56.6) and is the fifth-worst among starters in third down completion ratio (53.8 percent). Winston has thrown seven INTs in 152 attempts, and he really is not acknowledging the extra pressure that is assuredly there.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really nobody in this league yet so they don\u2019t really have to worry about me,\u201d he said, whatever the heck that is supposed to mean. Winston is never going to be \u201canybody\u201d in the NFL if he embraces an attitude that allows failure. He added that he \u201chas great teammates that do a great job and we have a great team.\u201d<\/p>\n

But great thus far has been 2-3 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Winston\u2019s passer rating ranks 30th at 77.6. This week, however, he meets one of the few worse than him: Washington\u2019s Kirk Cousins.<\/p>\n

Cousins is good for just 77.4 and the fourth-year QB, like Winston, remains relatively confident that he is not a problem. \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to help us to hit the panic button, I don\u2019t think it is going to help us to be completely relaxed. I think in the middle lies virtue. You have got to have balance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Balance has to be just one thing striven for when a football team is 2-4 and just 3.5 point favorites at home against another mediocre team.<\/p>\n

Winston and the Bucs had last week off after winning 38-31 against Jacksonville on Oct 11.<\/p>\n

Doug Martin has topped 100 yards on the ground in each of the last two games for Tampa Bay who ranks No. 9 in the NFL in rushing yards per game (122.4). Martin has the NFL\u2019s second highest rushing total and the past two seasons he played just 17 games.<\/p>\n

Martin said he never doubted himself, and the Bucs believe that he could be the key in the team surprising this season. HC Lovie Smith said, \u201cWe do want to get a fast start for sure\u2026everything we talk about is \u2018fast start.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Washington is ranked No. 17 in rushing yardage with just 107.2 yards per game. Alfred Morris has been good for just 36 yards on hist last 19 carries in consecutive losses. Washington was outscored 17-0 after the third quarter in Sunday\u2019s 34-20 loss to the New York Jets, and the team has been outscored 46-3 in the third quarter of those last two losses.<\/p>\n

DeSean Jackson is going to miss his sixth straight game with a hamstring injury, but Trent Williams and Jordan Reed will play.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay won 27-7 on the road when the teams faced Nov. 16. Evans had seven receptions for 209 yards with two TDs. The QBs in that game are both no longer starters, in RGIII and Josh McCown (now starting with Cleveland).<\/p>\n
