The L.A. Dodgers are 13-8 and rank atop the majors with 32 home runs, 19 of which have come at home. MLB oddsmakers favor the Dodgers at a moneyline of -150, with the total runs in MLB odds being set at 8.<\/p>\n

There have been 33 homers hit in Dodger stadium this year, by all accounts a hitters\u2019 park. Teams also hit .290 at Dodger stadium. Arizona is 10-11 and hitting .260 on the road, but just .229 at home. It lost the final two of a three-game home stand against the Colorado Rockies.<\/p>\n

In Wed.\u2019s 9-1 win, Jordan Pacheco hit a three-run homer and Paul Goldschmidt hit 9 of 14. A.J. Pollock is batting .517 with an eight-game hit streak vs. the Dodgers, but he ended an eight-game hit streak.<\/p>\n

Goldschmidt is off to a hot start and has hit .338 this season with five HRs, 20 RBIs, a .446 On Base Percentage and 26 hits. Pollock is batting .320 with 24 hits in 75 ABs. He has 30 total bases, third on the team. Mark Trumbo is batting .319 in 72 ABs with 11 RBIs, second to only Goldschmidt. Duffy Gosewich has struggled immensely with a .177 BA in 62 ABs, while Chris Owings is providing little as well, with a .227 average in 75 ABs. The Diamondbacks are strong at the top of the lineup, but sport a number of horrible options late in the order.<\/p>\n

Ender Inciarte needs to make more use of his speed. He has three stolen bases on the season and has 25 hits in 79 at bats. Inciarte has five doubles and a triple this season, and 39 total bases, which is second only to Goldschmidt\u2019s 45.<\/p>\n

Adrian Gonzalez is having a fantastic season, hitting .383 with eight homer runs and 19 RBIs. He has 31 hits on the year, and is one of 12 Dodgers players who has homered. His nine doubles also lead the team. Andre Ethier is .304 at the plate having hit 14 of 46, while he has also scored 10 runs, tied for fourth on the team. Joc Pederson is 17 of 57 and has five doubles and three homers on the year.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers offense has it going, and Yasiel Puig has only 43 at bats thus far. Puig has hit two doubles and two homers, but his health will be imperative once he is off the DL. It is just a hamstring injury so it shouldn\u2019t have long-lasting effects if Puig properly rehabs the injury.<\/p>\n

De La Rosa is 2-1 with a 4.68 ERA but lost one of his best outings in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sat. He threw seven innings and gave up just one run and four hits, while striking out eight batters (a career high). De La Rosa said, \u201cWhat I did Saturday, the rest of my starts I have to do it and try to get more confident and throw more strikes.\u201d<\/p>\n

L.A. will send Carlos Frias to the mound, who is trying to obtain the starting spot left by Brandon McCarthy, who had Tommy John surgery. Frias threw 2 1\/3rd unless innings in two relief efforts this season, and he picked up the victory in Monday\u2019s 8-3 victory over San Francisco. Against Arizona this year, he struck out two batters in two hitless innings.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s started twice in his career, but the last time he started he gave up eight runs and 10 hits in just 2\/3rds an inning as he lost 16-2 to Colorado on Sept 17 last season. 71 percent of bettors at Covers.com are favoring the Dodgers in this game, with 57 percent favoring the \u2018over\u2019 as of 3 PM CST.<\/p>\n
