Props have become a valuable betting\"\"<\/a> tool for the Super Bowl in the last 30 years. It adds excitement to the game other than just wagering on the game or the total. Let’s take a look at some of the team props for Sunday’s games between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. Later, we will look at some of the individual player props. Will either team score 3 straight times? (Yes -175 \/ No +155)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This line opened at Seattle -2.5 but now New England is a 1 point favorite. I think these teams are pretty evenly matched and I think they will trade scores. I like no here at plus money.<\/p>\n

Will there be a successful two point conversion? (No -460 \/ Yes +365)
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two point conversions are relatively rare because the risk is rarely worth the reward. Still, they do happen when a team is down say 8 points, or trying to get up by 3 points. The latter happened in Seattle’s come from behind victory over the Green Bay Packers 28-22 in the NFC Championship. Last year, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos converted a two point conversion in Super Bowl XLVIII in their 43-8 blowout loss \u00a0to the Seahawks. Yes is worth a play at +365.<\/p>\n

The last three Super bowls have seen a safety scored. Of course, on the flip side only seven safeties have been scored in Super Bowl history. Still, take a flyer on yes with such high odds.<\/p>\n

Will the game go into overtime? (No -1200 \/ Yes +775)<\/strong><\/p>\n

No Super Bowl has ever gone into overtime. It has come close several times though. A Super Bowl has to go into overtime eventually, so take a chance it happens this year.<\/p>\n

Will there be a defensive\/special teams touchdown? (No -175 \/ Yes +155)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seattle and New England have combined for 10 defensive and special teams touchdowns this season including playoffs. Seattle has scored two in the playoffs including a touchdown on a fake field goal against the Packers. Yes is worth a play at +155.<\/p>\n

Yards of longest touchdown scored (under 44 1\/2 -120 \/ over 44 1\/2 +100)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seattle’s defense doesn’t give up a lot of big plays and their offense doesn’t create a lot of big plays. I like under 44 1\/2 yards on this prop.<\/p>\n

If you are betting\"\"<\/a> on this prop you are betting on whether there will be a one yard touchdown scored or not. I like the over 1.5 yards on this prop.<\/p>\n

Total Seattle players to have a rushing attempt (under 4 -165 \/ over 4 +135)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson and running back Marshawn Lynch take the vast majority of the carries for the Seahawks. Robert Turbin might get a few carries, but I like under 4 for this prop.<\/p>\n

Total New England players to catch a pass (over 6 1\/2 -135 \/ under 6 1\/2 ++115)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I think Tom Brady will spread the ball around and I like over 6 1\/2 different players.<\/p>\n

Total Interceptions made (over 1 1\/2 -145 \/ under \u00a01 1\/2 +125)
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don’t see New England being able to run against Seattle and the Patriots will have to throw the ball a lot against what is arguably the best secondary in the league. Wilson threw 4 interceptions against the Packers but he usually doesn’t throw many picks. I like over 1 1\/2 interceptions.<\/p>\n
