Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston has thrived despite the controversy around his name. He’s thrown for 2,844 yards this season at a 65.8 percent clip. While he has thrown 12 INTs this season, he still has a 147.4 passer rating and is guiding FSU to the NCAA playoffs.

Winston’s top passing target Rashad Greene, has 1,042 yards on the season and five TDs. No. 2 WR Jesus Wilson has just 423 yards on the year, but also has four TDs. All five of Florida State’s top five receivers have more than 200 yards and double-digit yards per reception.

In the backfield, the Seminoles have received over 1,000 yards from Karlos Williams and Dalvin Cook. Cook averages 5.9 yards per carry, and the duo has 16 of FSU’s 24 rushing TDs between them. Winston has averaged just 1.7 yards per carry but has three rushing TDs in his own right.

Florida State escaped a close game against Miami last week, winning 30-26 after scoring the final 10 points of the game on a 53 yard field goal by Robert Aguayo and a 26-yard TD run from Dalvin Cook with 3:05 to go, to put FSU ahead for the win. Winston threw 25-of-42 for 304 yards, with one TD and one INT…Cook rushed for 92 yards and two TDs on the game, with a long run of 44-yards.

The Noles defense surrendered 316 passing yards to Miami’s Brad Kaaya. and 492 yards total, which was more than FSU’s 418. The Hurricanes also completed 10-of-18 third downs, while keeping good control of the clock with 35 mins possession to FSU’s 24.

Boston College has survived on the strength of its defense and run offense. The Eagles allow just 21.9 points per game (24th in NCAA) while getting 264 yards per game from its rush offense. That has allowed the Eagles to grind it out, and it could result in a low point total against the Seminoles this week.

The Eagles fell 38-19 last week to Louisville, but prior to that had a two-game win streak with wins over Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. The Eagles are 0-2 against ranked opponents this year, and will look to get its first victory over a top team on ABC at 3:30 PM ET.

BC-FSU Time: Sat, 2:30 PM CST TV: ABC Spread: FSU -17 Undefeated No. 3 ranked Florida State will play host to Boston College this week in a game college football oddsmakers at Bovada are setting the line 17-points in favor of FSU.
