snapped last time out, as it dropped a 56-17 decision to the Ohio State Buckeyes as 20.5-point road underdogs last Saturday, while going OVER the betting total for a second consecutive affair. The Scarlet Knights are aiming to become bowl eligible for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons, which is important to consider when making your Week 9 college football betting picks, as they also try to capture their first victory over a ranked opponent since 2009. Rutgers is 0-5 SU and 3-2 ATS as underdogs of 10.5 to 21 points the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 3-2 in that situation.

The Scarlet Knights need to try and win the ground game, which can’t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page, as they’ve compiled a 21-4 SU record over the last four seasons when attempting 35 or more rushes. Rutgers is also 18-2 SU when scoring 20 points or more under head coach Kyle Flood, and has gone on to secure a win in 16 of 19 opportunities when leading after three quarters of action.

Nebraska returns home after picking up a 38-17 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats as 6.5-point road favorites last week, while winning the statistical battle by a 181-yard margin. The Cornhuskers will take to the ground offensively, with senior running back Ameer Abdullah becoming the first player in school history to have three 1,000-yard rushing seasons. The team is capable of moving the ball through the air, as signal-caller Tommy Armstrong Jr. has accumulated 2,028 yards of total offense in 2014. Nebraska is 6-0 SU and 5-1 ATS as favorites this year.

The Cornhuskers have one of the top secondaries in the country from a statistical standpoint, as opposing quarterbacks have completed just 48.3 percent of their passes this season—ranking third nationally. Nebraska is the only team in the Big Ten to have a winning conference record each of the past three seasons.

Sports bettors will likely play the total, as the UNDER is 11-1 in the Scarlet Knights last 12 games following a SU loss.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the
