Boise State will open the season with a marquee match-up for the sixth straight season, which can\u2019t be ignored when looking over the NCAA football odds page.\u00a0 For the first time since 2008, the Broncos open the season unranked in both the Associate Press and Coaches Poll.\u00a0 It\u2019s important to point out that the program has produced a remarkable 155-26 SU record since 2000\u2014the highest win percentage in the country over that span.<\/p>\n

The Broncos will be playing their first game under former quarterback Bryan Harsin, who takes over for Chris Petersen after his departure to the University of Washington.\u00a0 Harsin served on the school\u2019s staff from 2001-10 and had a successful first year as a head coach at Arkansas State during the 2013 campaign.\u00a0 Boise State is 1-4 against schools from the Southeastern Conference, with the lone victory coming against the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2011 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.\u00a0 Of the team\u2019s initial 105 players during fall camp, 67 were either freshmen or sophomores.<\/p>\n

The Rebels will be playing their first football game at Atlanta\u2019s Georgia Dome, but just like every other SEC program\u2014they hope to return for the championship game in December.\u00a0 Ole Miss\u2019 roster features nine players from the area and it\u2019ll serve as a Homecoming of sorts.\u00a0 The school welcomes back 30 lettermen and nine starters from a defense that put up solid numbers a year ago, with many believing it has one of the best lines in the country\u2014anchored by preseason All-American Robert Nkemdiche.<\/p>\n
