Orioles<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Orioles are coming off a 4-4 homestand against Seattle (2-1), Cleveland (1-2) and Kansas City (1-1).\u00a0 Baltimore is 11-11 in its last 22 games, after starting the year 2-16.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">IF Ty Wigginton has set a team-high by hitting in nine straight games, going 14-for-36 (.389) with two homers and six RBI.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Team has posted a 3-9 record versus left-handed starters this season and 10-18 against righties.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">In their last 15 games, the Orioles have been held to one run five times and were held scoreless once.\u00a0 Overall, the team has had Sox<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Red Sox begin a short two-game homestand with the first of two games against the Minnesota Twins.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Of the club&#8217;s 27 games from 5\/14-6\/10, 18 will be played on the road.\u00a0 Boston has played just 17 road games this season, tied with Houston and San Francisco for the second-fewest in the majors behind Cincinnati.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Boston has won seven of the last eight, eight of the last 10 6.39 runs of support per 9 innings in his career, which began in 2007, fourth-highest among AL hurlers with at least 200 innings pitched in that span.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chicago Cubs<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chicago is 4-9 against the NL East this season and is looking for its first season victory against the division since taking two-of-three from the New York Mets (8\/28-8\/30\/09).\u00a0 The Cubs have dropped their last five series against the NL East since then.<\/li>\n<li>In the club&#8217;s last four games, the bullpen has logged a 1.59 ERA while holding opponents to a .111 batting average.<\/li>\n<li>Seven of their last nine games have been decided by two runs or fewer, including four by a single run (2-2 in those games).<\/li>\n<li>SP Tom Gorzelanny has received two or fewer runs of support in five of his seven starts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><strong>Cincinnati Reds<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Reds just completed a stretch of playing 17 of their last 20 games against the National League Central.\u00a0 Cincinnati went 15-5 overall during this stretch, including 13-4 within the division.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Through 39 games this season, the Reds have used only five starting pitchers.\u00a0 In 2009, the team didn&#8217;t use a sixth starter until the 42nd game.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">In the last 10 games, the pitching staff is 9-1 with a 2.20 ERA, including an 8-1 mark and 2.08 ERA by Reds starters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Offensively, the team is hitting .299 over the last 14 games, raising its combined average from .239 to .261.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Team has won four straight games, 16 of their last 21 games and each of their last five series.\u00a0 At 23-16, they 30-20 record against clubs from the AL West Division since the start of the 2009 season.\u00a0 The Tigers&#8217; .600 winning percentage against the division over that span is second-best among clubs (NYY: 31-19).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">IF Miguel Cabrera enters tonight&#8217;s game with a .351 career average and 20 home runs in 98 games against the AL West in his career.\u00a0 He also is hitting .421 with seven home runs and 28 RBI in 19 games on the road this season.\u00a0 His average leads the entire majors in that category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">OF Austin Jackson has hit safely in 18 of his 19 games on the road this season.\u00a0 He is seventh among all AL players with a .353 batting average on the road this season.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Tigers are 8-6 versus the AL West this season.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">SP Justin Verlander has posted a quality start in each of his last three outings, compiling a 3-0 record and 1.71 ERA.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Verlander is making the 27th start of his career during the month of May this evening.\u00a0 In his previous 26 outings, he is 17-6 with a 2.65 ERA.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><strong>Los Angeles Angels<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Get set to play the third game (0-2) of a seven-game road trip.\u00a0 The Angels started the season 4-2 on the road, but have dropped 10 of their last 12 road games.\u00a0 Los Angeles led the majors with 48 road wins in 2009).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Posted a disappointing 2-5 mark in their last seven games at U.S. Cellular Field.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">OF Bobby Abreu is a career .381 hitter (48-126) hitter versus Chicago, including a .370 mark at the Cell.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Angels are 6-5 versus AL West opponents this year, outscoring those teams 55-48.\u00a0 The team has compiled a 12-18 mark against the American League&#8217;s other divisions, being outscored 116-159.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Despite an ERA of 4.51 by the starting staff, the unit has allowed three earned in his first four home starts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">The Phillies are 12-4 in May thus far.\u00a0 During the 2009 season, they compiled a 17-11 mark.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Be opposed by a left-handed starter for just the 12th time this season.\u00a0 The Phillies are 5-6 in games started by lefties this season, but are just 1-5 at home and 4-1 on the road.\u00a0 Batting an NL-best .283 against left-handed pitching this season.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Starting staff has compiled a 19-9 record this season (.679), giving them the most wins and highest winning percentage of all staffs in the NL.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">This month, the bullpen is posting a National League-leading 1.69 ERA.\u00a0 Only Tampa Bay has a lower ERA (1.36) among all MLB teams in that span.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">SP Jamie Moyer has a
