Tampa Bay has been held to just two runs in dropping its last two games after plating nine in its season-opening win.\u00a0 The Rays haven\u2019t hit a home run in the first three contests of this series, while they\u2019ve gone just 1-for-17 with runners in scoring position during their two-game losing streak.\u00a0 It\u2019s important to point out that the team\u2019s bullpen has surrendered just one run in nine innings of work.\u00a0 Tampa Bay is 28-26 as a home favorites of -125 to -150 the last two-plus seasons.<\/p>\n

Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer signed a six-year, $25 million contract extension earlier this week, which was made possible by tallying a 9-7 record and 3.22 ERA in 23 efforts in 2013.\u00a0 The right-hander was 5-3 with a 3.03 ERA in 12 home outings a year ago, with opposing hitters batting just .212 against him.\u00a0 In three lifetime games versus the Blue Jays, Archer has compiled a 1-0 mark and 1.65 ERA.<\/p>\n
