id="caption-attachment-29325" class="wp-caption-text">The Indiana Hoosiers are 0-16 SU all-time against the Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State looks to build off its 34-0 shutout victory over Kent State as 22-point home favorites on Sept. 21, as it looks to improve to 17-0 SU all-time in this series, which can’t be ignored when making your NCAA football predictions in Week 6. It’s important to point out that the last three meetings in Bloomington have been decided by six poitns or less. Offensively, the team ran for 287 yards last time out, which was its highest total since 2009 in that particular category. Penn State is 7-3 SU and 6-3-1 ATS on the road the last two-plus seasons.

The Nittany Lions will go as far as true freshman quarterback Christian Hackenberg can take them, as he completed 79 of 127 passes for 1,027 yards and five touchdowns with four interceptions. Penn State enters the game ranked second in the Big Ten Conference in allowing just 14.5 points per game, as it prepares to take on an opponent that ranks second on the offensive end. The program is 15-8 after a bye week since becoming a member of the Big Ten, which is important to consider when looking over the college football odds page Saturday afternoon.

Indiana is also coming off an open date, as it has alternated wins and losses over its first four games, which includes a 45-28 setback to the Missouri Tigers as three-point home underdogs on Sept. 21. The Hoosiers threw for 377 yards against the Tigers—marking the fourth game this season and the sixth consecutive contest they’ve gone over the 300-yard mark in that statistical category. Plenty of weapons are found on the offensive end, including four players that own over 1,000 receiving yards. Indiana is 0-2 SUATS following an off week since 2011, with the OVER cashing in both of those affairs.

The Hoosiers lead the Big Ten in averaging 547.2 yards per game, with quarterback Nate Sudfeld is second in throwing for 286.5 yards per game. On the defensive end, Indiana returned eight starters and 25 letterwinners, with junior quarterback Tim Bennett leading the nation with 10 pass breakups. Despite missing three of its five projected starters, the offensive line has allowed just four sacks on the season.

Sports bettors will likely back the Hoosiers due to their 7-0 ATS mark at home versus a team with a winning road record.

Don’t miss out on a winning season and let the college football handicappers at Maddux Sports line your pockets with cash. Long term packages are available now!

Penn State
