Stanford takes to the road for the first time in 2013, as it has compiled a 10-10 all-time record against the service academies, while it comes off a 34-13 season-opening victory over San Jose State as 24.5-point home favorites last Saturday.\u00a0 The Cardinal are 3-3 in games played int he Eastern Time Zone since 2008, but they\u2019ve compiled a 13-2 record during the month of September since 2009.\u00a0 Stanford is 7-1-1 ATS as road favorites the last two-plus seasons, with the UNDER going 7-2 in that situation.<\/p>\n

Entering the 2013 campaign, the Cardinal were one of just four teams in the nation to win 35 or more games over the last three seasons, with Oregon, Boise State and Alabama being the other three.\u00a0 Stanford extended its nation-best streak of consecutive games with a takeaway to 25 last week, while it outrushed San Jose State by a 197-35 margin.\u00a0 The program is 23-1 SU under head coach David Shaw when outrushing an opponent, which is important to consider when making your college football predictions Saturday.<\/p>\n

Army returns home to Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y., as it looks to bounce back from a 40-14 defeat to Ball State as 10-point road underdogs, but it did manage to win the rushing battle by 248 yards in that affair.\u00a0 The Black Knights haven\u2019t beaten a nationally ranked team since 1972, but they\u2019ve had several close calls in recent years.\u00a0 Offensively, the team welcomed back six of its top eight rushers from last year\u2019s squad that led the nation with 369.8 yards per game, which can\u2019t be ignored when looking over the college football odds page.\u00a0 Army is 7-5 ATS at home since 2011, with the UNDER going 6-4-2 in those 12 opportunities.<\/p>\n

The Black Knights rushed for a school-record 4,438 yards last season\u2014just the second time they\u2019ve topped the 4,000-yard mark.\u00a0 Army is one of just seven schools that have coordinators who have been with the team for five or more years.\u00a0 The squad has already amassed 658 yards on the ground\u2014running 106 plays on the ground and throwing the ball just 28 times.<\/p>\n

Sports bettors will likely back the Black Knights due to their 2-0 ATS mark at home with a total of 49.5 and 52.<\/p>\n
