Boston picked up its MLB-leading 10th walk-off win last night, while also moving ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays by a half game in the AL East standings.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s just huge to get a win,\u201d commented Red Sox shortstop Stephen Drew.\u00a0 The club has won its last eight home games against the Mariners, as the offense has hit .304 with nine home runs and averaging 6.1 runs over that span.\u00a0 Boston is 4-4 at home with a money line of -100 to -125, with the UNDER going 5-2-1 in that situation.<\/p>\n

Red Sox starting pitcher Ryan Dempster (6-8, 4.24 ERA) has led the club to wins in five of his last six starts, as he picked up a 7-3 road victory over the Baltimore Orioles last time out.\u00a0 The right-hander is 4-6 with a 4.14 ERA in 14 home outings, surrendering 14 home runs in 82.2 combined innings.\u00a0 In five career appearances (three starts) versus the Mariners, Dempster has compiled a 1-1 record and 3.60 ERA, including a no-decision effort in a 8-7 road win on July 11.<\/p>\n
