Dodgers starting pitcher Zack Greinke (3-2, 4.22 ERA) will look to bounce back from a 6-3 road loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates, as he allowed five runs and eight hits over five frames.\u00a0 The right-hander is 0-2 with a 7.45 ERA in four road appearances, with opposing hitters batting .378 against him.\u00a0 In two career games versus the Padres, Greinke has tallied a 1-0 record and 3.27 ERA.<\/p>\n

San Diego continues to be one of the hottest teams in baseball, as it moved two games above .500 for just the second time this season.\u00a0 The Padres are missing some key contributors from their lineup, including Yonder Alonso, Everth Cabrera, Jedd Gyorko and Cameron Maybin, but the clubhouse has really grown together in recent weeks.\u00a0 \u201cThis is a great opportunity for a number of guys,\u201d stated Padres manager Bud Black.\u00a0 San Diego is 24-14 at home this season, with the OVER going 19-16-3 in those 38 opportunities.<\/p>\n

Padres starting pitcher Edinson Volquez (5-5, 5.84 ERA) has led the club to back-to-back victories, including a no-decision effort in a 5-3 road win over the San Francisco Giants, as he allowed three runs and six hits over five frames.\u00a0 The right-hander is 3-3 with a 4.95 ERA in seven home appearances, surrendering four home runs in 40 combined frames.\u00a0 In six career games versus the Dodgers, Volquez has compiled a 2-2 record and 3.97 ERA.<\/p>\n
