Like my fellow Canadians I am underperforming so far  during these Olympics, but like my Canadians I plan to close strong.  We&#8217;re going to start this road back to redemption with a nice, hopefully  winning, five event parlay. It will include: Russia (+138) to win  women&#8217;s biathlon relay, Sven Kramer (-510) to win the men&#8217;s 10,000m  speedskating, Didier Cuche (-165) to beat Bode Miller in the giant  slalom, Canada (-4.5\u00a0 -114) over Germany in hockey, and Switzerland (-1\u00a0  +110) over Belarus in hockey. That will pay $1702 if and when it wins.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The  Other Stuff<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yet again the Big East has seen a top team falter in  a key game. This time it was West Virginia, the seventh ranked team in  the country, that couldn&#8217;t beat UConn, a team fighting to get off the  bubble and into the tournament. The next time a Big East team comes  through in the clutch ad shows their class will be the first time.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s  very strange to think that LaDainian Tomlinson is no longer a San Diego  Charger after being released today. It also shows just how cruel the  NFL can be. Just two seasons ago Tomlinson was the first choice in  almost every fantasy football draft, and now he&#8217;s looking for a job. It  will be very interesting to see where he winds up, and if he still has  miles left in him. His total of just 3.3 yards per carry last year doesn&#8217;t  make me particularly optimistic.<\/p>\n<p>It seems hard to believe, but  pitchers and catchers are going about their business. That means that  baseball is just around the corner. Great stuff. There are a few  storylines I am keeping my eye on, but the most interesting so far is  Toronto. They have the monumental task of replacing the best pitcher in  baseball. They are looking in every possible direction to try to do that  &#8211; they have 37 pitchers in camp right now. That&#8217;s either a bold stroke  of genius or a stunning show of desperation.
