Let’s take a look at the player prop bets from Bovada, and see which have value.

Tony Parker 21.5 points

UNDER. Parker is averaging 19.4 points per game on the season and averages 18.8 points per game for his career against the Knicks. He’s also playing on no days of rest, a situation in which is scoring average is just 17.5 points per game.

Tony Parker 7.5 assists

UNDER. Parker is averaging 7.4 assists per game on the season, and had 11 last game, but for his career against the Knicks he averages 7.1 per game. He’s been inconsistent with his dimes, too. Parker had 11, 6, 9, 10, 7, 6, 5, 4 — in his last seven games, which puts him under the total in five of the seven.

Tim Duncan 17.5 points

OVER. Duncan is averaging 18 points per game this season and has historically been very good against the Knicks (20.3 over his career). Last game, against the Milwaukee Bucks, Duncan had one for the ages with 28 points, and he’s been over 18 in three of his last four games. Yes, Tyson Chandler is a good defensive center, but we’ve been seeing vintage Duncan this season and no one can stop Timmy at his best.

Tim Duncan 9.5 rebounds

UNDER. Tyson Chandler is good for boxing out and Duncan has been inconsistent on the boards. He had 13 last game, but has been under nine rebounds in four his last six games. In fact, he had six rebounds or less in all four of those games.

Manu Ginobili 14.5 points

Staying away from this. Ginobili has been very inconsistent and his health is such a variable. He had 16 last game, and eight the game before that. Why would anyone bet on Ginobili?

Carmelo Anthony 30.5 points

UNDER. Kawhi Leonard should draw the assignment of covering Anthony, and Melo has struggled historically against the Spurs. He’s averaged just 20 points per game over his career against San Antonio. Many will be tempted on the ‘over’ due toe the fact Anthony scored 45 last game and 34 and 33 the two games prior to that, but it doesn’t seem prudent to bet on the over against the Spurs.

Carmelo Anthony 6.5 rebounds

OVER. Anthony has grabbed seven boards in all three of his last three games and the Knicks are going to need him on the boards tonight. Expect Anthony to grab seven or eight rebounds.

Tyson Chandler 12.5 points

Staying away. No telling if he scores 12 or 13, and 12.5 is about spot on.

Tyson Chandler 10.5 rebounds

Staying away from this one, too.

J.R. Smith 18.5 points

OVER. Smith has been on fire recently and is averaging 27 points per game over his last four games. San Antonio is a tough defensive team, but Smith is hard to stop when he’s feeling it, and he has been.

J.R. Smith 5 rebounds

OVER. Smith has averaged eight rebounds per game over his last three games and in the two prior to those three, he was right at five. Smith is doing a great job on the boards.

The San Antonio Spurs travel to New York to face the Knicks tonight.
