Glen Davis says that he doesn’t want to be called Big Baby anymore. Instead, in honor to both his jersey and a certain Cincinnati wide receiver, he wants to be known as Uno Uno. I think he is missing out on one part in the whole issue – that he is a big baby. Davis was a beast in college, and promising at times in the pros, but he really doesn’t seem to have the mental makeup or brain power to stay calm and out of trouble these days.<\/p>\n
Apparently all wasn’t rosy with the Cinderella team from New York. The dust had barely settled on their surprising playoff run when the bloodshed began. The Jets got rid of four assistant coaches and a consultant today. One was fired, and four more weren’t given new contracts after theirs expired. There were coaches on both sides of the ball fired, as well as special teams. I don’t at all doubt that there was a need for some changes – I never drank the Jets’ kool-aid – but I am surprised that they let it come out this quickly.<\/p>\n
A four star defensive end recruit who had been committed to Notre Dame since June has bailed on the Brian Kelly regime and committed instead to Jim Harbaugh and Stanford. I don’t have a real in-depth point – I just love it when the Irish suffer and I wanted to revel in it.<\/p>\n
