The Baylor Bears are looking to win back-to-back games against the Texas Tech Red Raiders for the first time since 1986-87<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Baylor\u2019s 66-42 win over Texas Tech last season was its first in the series during the Big 12 Conference era, as it won the statistical battle by a 617-444 margin.\u00a0 The Bears are coming off an impressive 52-24 victory over the Kansas State Wildcats as 12-point home underdogs last week, while going OVER the total for a second consecutive week. \u00a0 \u201cWe have a hungry football team and we matched up really well,\u201d stated Bears quarterback Nick Florence.\u00a0 Baylor is 5-2 ATS versus conference foes this season, with the OVER going 5-2 in those affairs.<\/p>\n

The Bears haven\u2019t won back-to-back games against the Red Raiders since 1986-87, as they will focus on creating turnovers on the defensive end.\u00a0 Baylor is 13-2 when forcing two or more turnovers under the direction of defensive coordinator Phil Bennett, as the unit has come away with seven interceptions and two fumble recoveries over its last four conference tilts.\u00a0 Florence leads the nation in averaging 383.8 yards in total offense, with wide receiver Terrence Williams averaging 151.0 receiving yards.<\/p>\n

Texas Tech is set to play its regular-season finale and will look to bounce back from a 59-21 blowout loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys as 10-point road underdogs last week.\u00a0 The Red Raiders have run flat in losing three of their last four games after starting the year with a 6-1 record.\u00a0 \u201cI have no problem with the effort and how the guys go into each game and compete,\u201d commented Red Raiders coach Tommy Tuberville.\u00a0 The program owns a 36-33-1 advantage in this series, including a streak of 15-straight from 1996-2010.\u00a0 Teas Tech is 6-9 ATS as an underdog over the last two-plus seasons, something to consider when looking at the college football odds page on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Red Raiders may be running out of gas as they get set to play their ninth consecutive game without a week of rest.\u00a0 Texas Tech is one of three teams that ranks in the top 25 nationally in both total offense and total defense.\u00a0 Quarterback Seth Doege will need to be tremendous in hopes of pulling off a slight upset, as he became the third player in school history to top 8,000 passing yards last week.<\/p>\n
