Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson (4-2, 2.57 ERA) was handed back-to-back losses to close out the year, giving up eight runs and 12 hits over nine combined innings on the road to the Tigers and Los Angeles Angels.\u00a0 The left-hander went 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA in two home starts, issuing just a single walk and striking out 10 batters in 13 frames.\u00a0 In four career starts versus Tuesday night\u2019s opponent, Anderson has compiled an even 2-2 record and 3.78 ERA.<\/p>\n
